Our Verdict
Birth of a Monster really impresses with its high production values and authentic feeling take on the Star Wars universe. The acting is very impressive too – it’s not often that you actually care for the droids in Star Wars but the bond between the boy and his droid feels real and you really care what happens to them. The ending is a great bit of fan service and it’s great to know where one of the most iconic monsters in movie history came from!
