Our Verdict
Obviously the visual FX aren’t going to match those of the multi-million dollar Peter Jackson epics, but Born of Hope is an impressive film that delivers a welcome dose of Tolkien fantasy. Considering the budget restraints the costume design, cinematography, acting and fight choreography are all very well done. The soundtrack is a particular highlight, which is easily on par with the Jackson movies and really adding a feeling of authenticity to the endeavour. The story is interesting too, allowing us to learn a little more of the backstory of Aragon’s family and young Aragon is adorable!
