Our Verdict
The production standards of this fan film are incredible, with high quality CGI animation, great acting and excellent sound design. Samus’ suit looks very cool when it’s all lit up and she even uses its morph ball ability (which must be extremely painful for anyone inside it at the time). The way that Samus feels a little unsure of herself throughout the movie may not be in standing with the fearless warrior of the video games, but it helps you to feel empathy for her during the short time you spend with her. There’s no real timeline set out so maybe this is a prequel to her first video game adventure? Either way it’s a great little homage to a classic gaming franchise.
