Our Verdict
Considering this is a Pokémon joint there’s very little in the way of Pokémon in it, but the acting is excellent, it’s very polished and the dark, mature narrative is pretty interesting. Ash’s life resembles that of a child star who has grown up and lost their purpose and though fans may dislike the lack of Pokémon, there is still plenty of fan service towards the end.
