Our Verdict
As in the previous installation, The Last of Us: Part 2 does an incredible job of recreating all the aspects that made the original The Last of Us video game so great. The infected are genuinely scary, the father/daughter style dynamic between Joel and Ellie is spot on and Bill adds a welcome dose of crazy to the proceedings. The acting is excellent and there are even some touching moments. The visual FX budget is definitely higher this time around too – allowing for a pretty dramatic showdown with the bloater.
